ADP Chairman and Leader claimed that the LUC in charge of Segbwema and Daru told him that his arrest was necessitated by constant pressure from the Vice President.

We could not reach to verify such claim from the LUC as at time of going to press, but we stand willing to publish his side if he so desires.

Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray who is also the presidential candidate of the ADP for the 2018 Presidential Election said his arrest and detention was an intimidation and a ploy to silence him from exposing the bad governance of the ruling government APC.

His further claim that there is no law in the country that prevents him from possessing a stun gun according to the Small Arms Act of 2012 can only be proven by the court now.

The office of the VP is yet to react to these claims.

Meanwhile, court reports have it that Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray is answering to three count charges ranging from unlawful possession of stun gun, contrary to Section 13(1) of cap37 as amended by Section 5 Act No.6 of 1961, unlawful possession of small arms without authority, contrary to Section 19(2) A of Act No.14 of 1965 as repealed and replaced by Section 10 of Act No. 7 1978, to carrying offensive weapon, contrary to Section 16(1) of the public order Act of  1965.
