The Head Coach of the East End Lions Football Club, Mohamed Lamin Kamara (ML) has been honored with the Leone Rock Premier League’s Coach of the Month award for January, solidifying his standing as a leading strategist in Sierra Leonean football.

The recognition follows the Lions’ decisive 3-0 victory over LUAWA FC at the Approved School Field, a triumph that propelled them to second place in the league standings with 22 points accumulated from 11 matches.

The Award was conferred by Harold Nat Johnson, Vice President 1 of the Sierra Leone Football Association, amidst a celebratory environment following the Lions’ commanding performance.

Kamara’s influence transcends the domestic arena, as he also holds the position of head coach for the Sierra Leone U-20 national team, the Shooting Stars. He is currently preparing them for the critical AFCON Qualifiers in Ivory Coast.

The U-20 team is confronted with a formidable challenge in Group C, where they will contend with Senegal, Zambia, and Kenya. Kamara has expressed unwavering confidence in his ability to construct a powerful team by seamlessly integrating local and international players.

Further augmenting his impressive record, Kamara previously attained a historic achievement in Liberia, where he led the team to the AFCON Qualifiers in Ivory Coast, showcasing his established capability to produce results on the continental stage.

The Sierra Leone football community extends its congratulations to Coach Mohamed Lamin Kamara, his committed coaching staff, and the East End Lions players for their exceptional accomplishments and steadfast dedication.
