He further explained that the court would continued to adjudicate the remaining accused persons who were yet, to substantiate or present documents that will justify their fuel tradeĀ in Kambia district.
However, the remaining accused persons had been put on a rigid bail conditions. It would be recalled that in October 2016, the Anti Smuggling Unit of the National Revenue Authority (NRA), and personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters in Freetown conducted a raid along Sierra Leoneās border with Republic of Guinea, in which fifteen fuel dealers were arrested, charged to court.
Ā The then fifteen accused persons were alleged to have been illegally trading in petroleum, and at the same time smuggling petroleum products out the country, at the detriment of citizens of this country in particular, and the state in general.
