Tribalism he said is one of the key features that have led Sierra Leone to its current underdeveloped status.

He said in past elections of the country, citizens cast their votes on tribal and regional lines, and as a result he political parties that have led the governance of the country were not voted for on the basis of their manifestos.

Therefore he said when they get to State House and Parliament they apportion opportunities according to the languages the people they believe had voted for them.

“For example, Dr. Kandeh Yumkella a son of a Kambia Paramount Chief did not think tribal when he chose Bo district for the biggest UNIDO growth centre, today an electricity dam is being constructed in Moyamba with his support because he believes that is what the People there deserve, that is how a country develops” he said, noting further, that is the progressive change, KKY being a professor of development is about to bring to Sierra Leone.

He said as result he believes he can provide better leadership in Sierra Leone.

“We must say No to tribalism now and support the former UNIDO Boss with all the connections in the world, we require to provide jobs for the over seventy percent youth unemployment rate in the country” he said.

He described the National Grand Coalition as party for the millennium generation, and as result he said as a Youngman he is leading other young people in the South-eastern region to declare for the party.

“2018 is the year for we the Youth of this country to change our lives with Kandeh Yumkella and the National Grand Coalition” he said, revealing further that he will be declaring for the NGC not only with Young people from the APC but also those from other political parties, like the United Democratic Movement’s former chairman in the Southern Region.

A former APC candidate for Member of Parliament in Constituency 67 in Bo district, James Charles Gombay said he was a proud and committed member of the ruling party, but now him together with other members of the party have decided to declare for NGC with Joseph Maada Kpulun.

He said they have heard other party members say that people crossover to the NGC only when they are disgruntle with their parties.

As a result he clarified that their only disagreement with the APC is that they believe Dr. Yumkella is more capable to develop this country than another candidate for the 2018 Presidential Elections.

He said the country is said to be the worst place for young people to live on Earth because people were putting their party allegiance above the good of the country.

He said 2018 election is a moment for the youth of Sierra Leone to change for the country’s development and he said that begins with them declaring for the NGC.

Chairman of Carwash Youth in Bo city, Mohamed Dukuray commonly known as Madash said he believes Dr. Kandeh Yumkella is a man of positive vision for this country.

He said when Dr. Yumkella initially joined the country’s political landscape they were not happy that he chose to join one of the colonial parties that have seen them in the country unemployed.

He said this is because they as carwash youth, following KKY’s profile on the internet, they see him as a man with new direction of the change they desire to make in the forthcoming national elections.

Nevertheless, he said it is better he has realized his path, and has joined the National Grand Coalition, a new political party, said to be of no colour.

He said they as carwash youth in the city will be declaring for the party together with Joseph Maada Kpulun, whom they said is one of the key stakeholders in the district concerned about their wellbeing.
