Police further allege that the accused was found in possession of house breaking implements such as pick axe and shears and is accused of destroying one close circuit television camera in the cash office, valued one million leones.
The complainant in the matter was conspicuously absent in court when the matter was mentioned.
The presiding Magistrate, Mohamed Serray Wurie however made it abundantly clear to the court that he will not admit the accused on bail on the grounds that he was facing very grave criminal offences, contrary to the Criminal Procedure Act of the laws of Sierra Leone.
The accused was represented by lawyer I.P Mamie and the matter was adjourned to January 14, 2016.
In another development, Magistrate Mohamed Serray Wurie on Monday January 11 remanded Mohamed Alie Kamara at the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba road in Freetown for the offence of murder, contrary to law.
The charge sheet uncovered that on November 12, 2015, the accused Mohamed Alie Kamara allegedly murdered Hassan Bittar during a bitter argument at around Havelock Street in Freetown.
According to the second prosecution Witness, Samuel Unissa Conteh, he disclosed that he recognized the accused person and recalled the 12th and 13th November, 2015.
The witness explained that on the day in question, he was at his residence at Havelock Street in Freetown and heard the deceased, Hassan Bittar and the accused quarreling and exchanging unprintable remarks against each other.
He went on to state that the accused later on went into his apartment, came out with an implement and started running after the deceased, adding that, he later heard a lady called Dora Kamara shouting out that the accused, Mohamed Alie Kamara had murdered the deceased, Hassan Bittar.
He said that, he saw the accused running away from the crime scene and residents in the area rushed with the deceased to the Connaught Hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to the cold hands of death.
The court records state that the prosecution has led all witnesses in evidence with regards the matter before the court, and the prosecution is now waiting for the testimony of the final witness in the person of Dr. Owiss Koroma who is the Government Consultant Pathologist in the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.
