Olympic Committee engages AYV on King’s Barton Really

Senior officials of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone and Commonwealth Games Association have presented letter of partnership to the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr.

The aim is to raise awareness on the arrival of the King’s Barton Really in Sierra Leone.

President of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone and Commonwealth Games Association, Prince Vandi Suallaysaid the primary reason for their visit was to request for partnership between the AYV – prominent media outlet in Sierra Leone, and the Association on the arrival of the King’s Barton Relay which will precede a year before the Commonwealth in Glasgow, Scotland.

This year’s Commonwealth the Barton has been designed for each Commonwealth country, which is differ from previous years. Sierra Leonean fashion designer based in the UK, Foday Dumbuya, will do the designs.

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of AYV, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr., commended the Team for the move and assured the visitors that he was honored to partner with them, especially to promote sports in Sierra Leone.

Amb. Navo said AYV is a youth focused institution and that in everything that has to do with young people, the Company will be there to provide the much need supports. He assured of doing all he can to ensure the AYV work closely with the Association on the project free of cost.

Kings Barton is a residential development in Hampshire, north of Winchester, built by CALA Homes. It is characterised by a mix of new homes, including affordable options, and community facilities like open spaces, sports pitches, and a park & ride. The area is also known for its proximity to Winchester city center, good transport links, and nearby schools.
