ONS Boss Calls for National Unity

He disclosed that his institution has recorded a spate of violent activities in various parts of the country, before, during and after the March 7 presidential, parliamentary and local council elections, which he out rightly condemned and called on supporters of various political parties to maintain law and order.

As Sierra Leoneans will be going back to the polls come March 27, to exercise their franchise in the runoff election, he went on to state that his institution will frown at  any one perpetrating  violence at the expense of the peace-loving people of this country.

Ishmeal Tarawallie commended Sierra Leoneans for peacefully exercising their franchise in the first round of the country’s general elections and implored them to preach messages of peace, harmony, tolerance and inculcate the values of democracy.

He assured Sierra Leoneans that the ONS is prepared to complement the efforts of the security forces in ensuring peace and tranquility.
