Speaking at their muster parade in Teko barracks Makeni, ACC Regional Manager North, Abu Bakarr Kamara lauded the gallantry of RSLAF personnel, for their dedication to maintaining peace and serenity in the country. Manager Kamara said, for far too long citizens have been subjected to unwillingly paying bribes for services they ought not to have paid for. He acknowledged that though there are challenges in the implementation of the PNB campaign, a lot of positive actions have been taken in a bid to fix the systems within the PNB sectors. Manager Kamara disclosed that reports generated over the period have provided the opportunity for heads of the PNB-MDAs to focus on weaknesses within their operations in a bid to eradicate the incidences of bribery and petty corruption.    

In his statement to personnel, ACC Public Education Officer Abdul K. Bangura gave an overview of the PNB noting that, it is a sustained approach with the intention to collectively combat bribery within public institutions. Bangura catalogued strategies that have been used to encourage citizen’s participation in the campaign. The Public Educator assured his audience that reports made by members of the public are held in confidence.  

Bangura encouraged them to always report bribery incidences of any form through the use of the free line 515 on all networks, website: www.pnb.gov.sl and on mobile application in major languages.  

ACC Public Education Officer Abdulai Saccoh underscored that with successful PNB implementation, citizens are guaranteed of efficient service delivery. Saccoh reminded them of their service to the nation stressing that, the situation would never change if the blame game is not stopped.
