The charge sheet indicated that the accused person is alleged to have stolen a donkey valued at sixteen million Leones at Jorpoh Farm, Waterloo in the outskirts of Freetown, on 8 December 2017; property of the complainant Samuel Enitor King.

Testifying in court, the third prosecution witness, Amadu Sesay disclosed that he is an agriculturist and recognized the complainant. He told the court that he came to know that the accused was a sergeant in the RSLAF named Hassan Kamara during the outbreak of the Ebola scourge in Sierra Leone.

The witness further informed the court that he vividly recalled the incident of 8 December 2017. He said on the day in question, he was at Jorpoh Farm, Waterloo, when he saw the accused person moving with a crowd of people towards the complainant’s residence, where the donkey was tied.

He further testified that he saw the accused, Sgt. Hassan Kamara together with unknown individuals carting away household properties from the complainant’s residence, including the said donkey.

Amadu Sesay also intimated the court that as result, he informed the complainant, Samuel Enitor King about the incident, adding that the complainant later came to the alleged scene of crime, before he reported the matter at the Waterloo Police Station.

He concluded by stating that he was invited to the Criminal Investigation Department headquarter at Pademba Road in Freetown, where he made statement.

The mater was prosecuted by Police Sgt. Festina Nannah Newstead and the matter adjourned to Friday 27 July 2018.
