The arrest is in connection with an ongoing investigation relating to the issue and use of service and diplomatic passports by undeserving persons.
The ACC wishes to clarify that the said arrest was conducted by ACC officers, but facilitated and supported by the US Embassy Security and Consular Personnel. The Commission shall later update the public on the progress of the investigations.
Meanwhile, the Commission wishes to further assure the general public that it would leave no stone unturned in bringing to book those that illegally issued our Service and Diplomatic Passports; and those that illegally benefited from same.
The ACC is determined to restore sanity and inject integrity into the issuance of our national passports.
