This first phase of SALCAB School Connectivity Project is targeting five hundred (500) schools nation-wide with the principle objectives of promoting electronics learning for students, establishment of automated school management software to enable a seamless administration of schools by school authorities, and essentially to promote the culture of research among students at an early age thereby instilling a sense of independent learning among students.Recently, a team of SALCAB staff embarked on another week-long survey activity on schools in various towns in the provinces, which are set to benefit from the Free Quality Internet Connectivity for schools and other higher learning institutions. This set of survey targeted a total of 92 Schools in mostly rural communities in parts of the North, South and East of the country. Masiaka, Mile 91, Koribondo, Jimmy, Zimmi Pujehun, Kenema among others, are towns where schools were surveyed and are now set to benefit from the free internet connectivity ahead of next academic session.

These schools surveyed, once connected with the Free Quality Internet by SALCAB for their scholarly work, will prove a great deal of academic importance for not only the students and their teachers, but will also provide succor to members of the community alike who will leverage on the platform to explore internet facilities and other social media utilities.

Seeing connectivity as a way of life, the Managing Director of SALCAB Ishmael Kebbay, is highly passionate to seeing schools in the rural communities connected to internet as this will actualize his dream of taking internet to the door-step of average sierra Leoneans irrespective of where they live.

This school connectivity project when brought to fruition will prompt the rise of internet penetration rate in the country which currently stands at 16% which is still very low.

School authorities whose schools were surveyed as prospective beneficiaries of the SALCAB School Connectivity Project, out of shared excitement and exuberant expectancy, wasted no time but to heap barrage of praises, thanksgiving and humble appreciation on SALCAB and by extension its MD- Kebbay, for his humane and thoughtful consideration to implement such a project at their schools, which to them would have only been a dream far fetch to enjoy internet connectivity owing to its high installation and running cost associated to it.
