Sunday Foundation in collaboration with ABC-Development has constructed several primary and secondary schools in Kambia with 100% outstanding performance in the 2016-2017 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and has provided micro finance help to deprive women who are mostly the caretakers of most homes in rural Sierra Leone among others.

According to the Country Director of ABC-Develement, the lead implementing partner of Sunday Foundation, Mohammed Foday Kamara, it took them almost a decade to convince the de Kramer family to send their helping hand to the needies in this part of the world and expressed gratitude for the help they have been giving over the years to a group regarded by many in society as the most deprived in post war Sierra Leone.

Sunday Foundation established 5yrs ago with support from the de Kramer of Netherlands started with a roll of 96 but now has a roll of 343 in 2018 with outstanding performance in both the BECE and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the district. 

Since the visit of the key sponsor of Sunday Foundation and lead sponsor of Sunday Foundation Girls Secondary School, the second girl school in Kambia few years ago,  Pa. Comrade Kolenten has again descended in Kambia with a 14 man delegation from the Netherlands to see how they could continue to give more helping hands to deprived and less privileged women and girls in the district. 

Pa. Komrabai Kolenten who was crowned as one of the traditional rulers in the district has promised to contribute more handily to the development of women, girls and the entire Kambia district.

The welcome event of the 14 man delegation from the Netherlands was graced by several local and national dignitaries from the Kambia District Council, Ministry of Education the host Paramount Chief of Magbema chiefdom among other and all made salient contributions to the progress of education in the district.
