Giving her testimony before Justice Alusine Sesay of the High Court of Sierra Leone, Madam Samura recalled May 22 2015, stating that, on the above date, she was at home, when the third accused person, Avril Oreh Renner sent a Watsapp message, extending an invitation to attend her birthday party in the residence of the first accused person, Baimba Moi Foray.

She informed the court that since the birthday party was to be held the following day, she went and slept at the residence of the third accused, Avril Oreh Renner.

The following morning, she went on, the third accused instructed Sonita, Oseh, Kadija, Mummy, Jenifer, and Jonathan including her, to wait at the residence of the first accused in Aberdeen, to prepare food.

And after a while, she said, the third accused person, also joined them at the residence of the first accused, Baimba Moi Foray.

According to the witness, at around 3pm, on the day in question, the first accused, Baimba Moi Foray and the third accused, Avril Oreh Renner informed them that, they were going to somewhere else to buy some drinks.

She said, the party started around 7pm, and she saw D J Cleff, Claudius Conteh, Tunde Scott and other invitees at the party, and she was serving food, whilst Oseh was serving drinks.

The witness went further to state that, there was a special room in the residence of the first accused, that was reserved for his friends, adding that during the party, she saw people going in and out of the room.

After sometime, she said, D J Cleff, Sonita, Kadija, Oseh, Jenifer, Jonathan, Tunde Scott including her, went on a swimming expedition in the  pool in Baimba Moi Foray’s compound, stating that, they later left the pool and attempted to go to the first accused’s parlour, but that the first accused person did not allow them.

Madam Abigel Samura also informed the court that, after leaving the pool, she could neither see, nor ascertain the actual destination of D.J Cleff, and could also hear his friends shouting out D.J Cleff.

Since we could not see D.J Cleff, she said, they left the party and walked through the road leading to White Pole bus stop, boarded a taxi and returned to their various places of residence.

She also explained that, on June 4, 2015, whilst at home, the third accused person Avril Oreh Renner sent a text message, informing her that somebody was reported to have gone missing during the party, at the residence of the first accused person.

The witness further explained that, after a while, some officers at the Criminal Investigation Department visited her residence at No. 88 Regent Road in Freetown, and invited her, together with the third accused, Avril Oreh Renner to the CID’s Headquarters.

She added that whilst they were heading for the CID Headquarters, the third accused, Avril Oreh Renner, told her to delete all the snap shots, relating to the party in her mobile phone.

The witness concluded by stating that, whilst they were at the Aberdeen Police Division, Avril Oreh Renner urged her to explain, what actually transpired at the party, as it is  only the truth that will free her.

The matter was adjourned to Thursday 26 November, 2015.
