The University of Sierra Leone (USL) has announced that the deadline for the purchase and submission of online application PINs for the 2024/2025 academic session is October 31, 2024.
This applies to the university’s constituent colleges: Fourah Bay College (FBC), College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), and the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM).
In a statement released by the university’s registrar, Hageley James Hazeley, the university also clarified that the application window for postgraduate programmes would remain open until further notice.
“The portal also provides access for prospective students applying for the university’s e-learning master’s programmes in Business Administration, Journalism & Media Studies, Communication & Development Studies, and Public Relations & Marketing Communication,” Hazeley added.
Prospective applicants can obtain application PINs at various banks across the country, including Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, Commerce and Mortgage Bank PLB (CMB), Rokel Commercial Bank, and Union Trust Bank. The cost for undergraduate PINs is set at NLe500, while postgraduate PINs will be available for NLe600.
Applicants are encouraged to visit the university’s official website, www.usl.edu.sl, for further details regarding entry requirements for specific programmes, faculties, and departments.
Additionally, the university urged applicants who previously applied under the “awaiting results” category to upload their results as soon as possible, in order to complete their applications before the colleges reopen.
Hazeley also emphasized that the university’s diploma and certificate courses are terminal programmes, stating, “Applicants who wish to progress from diploma or certificate courses to degree programmes must meet the university’s minimum entry requirements.”
