The Sierra Leone High Commission in London (SLHC-UK) under the leadership of His Excellency Dr. Morie Komba Manyeh, convened a strategic dialogue today with the executive team of the Oxford Africa Conference.
The meeting aimed to explore collaborative avenues that have the potential to yield appropriate benefits for both the OAC and for Sierra Leone.
The Oxford Africa Conference, organized annually by the Oxford University Africa Society (AfriSoc), has established itself as a key platform for discussing Africa’s future. The 2025 conference is scheduled for May 24-25 at the Blavatnik School of Government, focusing on the theme “Changing Narratives: Vision, Action, and Transformation of Africa.”
Today’s in-depth discussions were enriched by the presence of Maryam Nina Hardy, President of the Oxford Africa Society for 2025. This engagement signifies the inception of a promising partnership, with both sides poised to announce significant developments in the near future.
High Commissioner Dr. Manyeh expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating that such partnerships are pivotal in advancing mutual goals and fostering deeper ties between Sierra Leone and premier academic institutions like Oxford.
