Manager, Susan Bay swimming team Fasseneh James Koroma said that he is optimistic that Leone Star would definitely defeat the Harambee of Kenya despite the disappointing result the team secured during their friendly encountered with Lone Star of Liberia.  He stated that he has been watching Leone Star since he was a boy, and affirmed that the lineup that the head coach John Keister had  called would give football loving fans something to smile about  and that if  the players are well prepared to deliver and put smile on the faces of Sierra Leoneans.

“I have been following Leone star training religiously and accordingly, the team is focusing on the midfield rather than striking force” James Koroma mentioned.

He noted that the national side ‘lacks law ten’ which happened to be the goal scoring power.

National team supporter Amara kanu, said   “Leone star is the only team I support because am a patriot Sierra Leonean, am not happy with the team they always embarrassed us, since 1996 when Leone Star last qualified till date no hope has been given for their qualification, I will be at the national stadium on Saturday to watch the deadly encounter against the Harambee Kenyan.”

‘’ football politics has destroyed Football, no competitive football is playing at home and even some of the foreign base players don’t have playing time, I want Sierra Leone to qualify  but let put our house in order so that  football will go back to  normalcy  as before. ‘’ a trader at Rawdon street Mohamed Bangura commented.

Local base coach Raymond Dumbuya ascertained that ‘’ the squad is fine with this line am pretty sure that we are going to qualify in the AFCON group stage despite we are in same group with Ghana  and Ethiopia,  all what the coach need  to do is to strength the defense and let the strikers  have scoring mentality.
