The Non-Resident High Commissioner of Sierra Leone to Singapore, His Excellency Abu Bakarr Karim, who resides in Beijing, has officially presented his letters of credence to the President of Singapore, His Excellency Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The ceremony took place at the Istana Government Mansion in Singapore.
During the presentation, Ambassador Abu Bakarr Karim conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, to His Excellency Tharman Shanmugaratnam. In response, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam graciously welcomed High Commissioner Abu Bakarr Karim to Singapore and expressed his best wishes for the High Commissioner’s success in fulfilling his diplomatic responsibilities.
This significant event marked the formal beginning of High Commissioner Karim’s diplomatic mission in Singapore. It underscores his commitment to carrying out his duties on behalf of President Bio and the people of Sierra Leone.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking government officials and members of the media. Accompanying the High Commissioner were Mr. Alpha Mohamed Gottor, Second Secretary, and Mr. Derek Yang, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
