A delegation from the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), led by President Alhaji Manika Kamara, visited the family of the late Dr. Abou Bhakarr Binneh Kamara at their residence on Water Street in Freetown to express heartfelt condolences and solidarity during this difficult time.
The National Coordinator MRCG, Dr. Francis Sowa, who was part of the delegation, described the late Dr. Binneh Kamara as a mentor, an inspiration, and a man who impacted countless lives across various disciplines.
In his tribute, SLAJ President Alhaji Manika Kamara noted that the late Dr. Binneh was more than a renowned legal mind, academic, and leader; he was also once a journalist.
“He believed in people and was always willing to support others to succeed,” said the SLAJ President.
The family expressed deep appreciation for the visit by SLAJ, stating they were proud of the life their son and brother lived.
“He valued education above all else,” a family member remarked, adding that this legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
SLAJ joins the nation in mourning the passing of a great Sierra Leonean.
