The SLP has an IMC which manages the PNB, and is tasked to institute measures that address key corruption issues impeding service delivery. The PNB in the South is strengthened to include Regional and Divisional commanders that seat on management, and is supported to continue to undertake sensitization meetings across the Region. In the last two months it has conducted PNB sensitization meetings with personnel at Portoru, Moyamba, Pujehun, and Zimmi.

At a President’s Recovery Priority Governance sector meeting at the ACC office in Bo, the Regional Manager, Samuel Marah, described the figures as impressively encouraging. He noted citizens are making effective use of the PNB.
The Commission is processing the said complaints and will immediately forward them to the respective IMCs for administrative action. Actions could range from dismissal of personnel, suspension, transfer, to withholding of salary as first step to correcting malpractice and malfeasance. Where complaints persist about malpractices occurring at a particular unit within any of the five MDAs, the Commission can decide to investigate and prosecute – the rod approach to address petty corruption and bribery.
