The Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP) in Constituency 14 and 15 will today Thursday 3rd June, 2021 hold a re-run of the party’s lower level elections that will be monitored by the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC).
The elections will be held starting at 8:30am KorgeiNgieya, KorgieBuima and Fallay Sections re-run elections will be held in Giehun, Constituency 14 Lower Bambara chiefdom, Gbo Section re-run elections will be held in Konia and Sei and Bonya 2 Sections re-run elections will be held in Lohuma.
At Constituency 14 Malegohun chiefdom, the elections will be held in KojoNjagor, KojoBuima, KojoYamataga Sections re-run elections will be held in GeihunKonjo; Upper Hunlorhun and Lower Hunlorhun Sections re-rum elections will be held in SembehunHunlorhun and Upper Torgboma and Lower Torgboma Sections re-run elections will be held in Massao.
At Constituency 15, Panguma Section re-run will be held in Panguma and Lalehun Section re-run will be held in Lalehun.
The PPRC has also informed the membership of SLPP in Constituency 14 and 15 are informed that these elections should be conducted by the Chiefdom Executives of both Constituencies as stipulated in the SLPP Rules and Regulations of 2020.
The Commission further admonished the leadership and membership of the SLPP to be peaceful and adhere to the laws governing the conduct of sectional elections in the party. Non-party members and non-residents are advised to stay off these processes.
