In a bid to show loyalty and support to the national publicity secretary, thousands of supporters and members of the SLPP countrywide and some parts of the Diaspora relinquished their daily operations and duties at their offices in national headquarters and stormed the CID where they spent almost all their official hours.
Reports say most of the day-to-day running of the party were done from the CID by executive members of the SLPP and that it was like relocating the party’s operations at the desks of the CID.
However, Leema was denied bail last evening by the CID and he is still detained.
