Within a period of 24 hours, the ministry unites itself with the Office of National Security (ONS), Sierra Leone Police (SLP), Inter-Religious Council, Independent Media Commission (IMC), among others.
The move by the ministry to regularly update the public on that fateful day with regards to actions being taken on the matter went a long way to defuse the rising tensions.
The Ministry, SLP, IMC, among others all promptly issued out press releases condemning the action of the pastor.
Within the same twenty four hours, the operations license of the church was suspended and the pastor questioned and detained.
A message of peace was later released by the Mufti which was followed by an open letter of apology by Ajisafe.
The burning question now is: So State Institutions can be this effective? It was surprising to see Sierra Leone uniting itself for a common goal.
