“Career Day is set aside to motivate school going pupils in their academic pursuit. In this light we invited professionals to talk to them so as a form of motivation,” he added.

Barrister and Solicitor, Mariama Dumbuya, emphasized on the importance of the commemoration, adding that it was a way of preparing their minds for their future academic pursuits.

She encouraged the pupils to persevere in their academic pursuit in order to succeed.

“You must work hard if you are to succeed and always try to be the best. I can’t say I was the best, but I have been working to be one of the best and today I have succeeded and I am a lawyer,” she said, adding that they should not give up easily in whatever they were doing, no matter the condition.

While she encouraged them to be patient, be focused and be dedicated, the woman lawyer also told them to love what they wanted to become in future.

Pharmacist, Samuel Saidu, said that if they listened and tried to learn from their experience they would definitely succeed in the future and that today was a very big opportunity for pupils to learn from the interaction with professionals who had succeeded in life.

Pupils who witnessed the engagement confirmed that they had been inspired by the different speakers and that they hoped it would serve as a guide to all those present throughout.
