Following the aforementioned announcement by the Speaker of Parliament, he vehemently stated that Hon. Leonard Fofanah of Constituency 015 in Kenema District, Eastern Sierra Leone, is now the new Majority Leader of the House of Parliament and the Leader of Government Business, and Hon. Hassan Sheriff is now the new Deputy Majority Leader of the House.

“I’m therefore under instructions by the Leader and Chairman to relieve him of the position and make the following announcement. With immediate effect Hon. Leonard F. Fofanah becomes the Majority Leader and the Hon. Hassan Sheriff becomes the Deputy Majority Leader.” The Speaker of parliament ascertained.
