The amazing story of a young girl named Kadiatu, who according to reports, died and was buried five years ago in Lungi, Kaffu Bullom chiefdom, Port Loko district and resurfaced in Funkia in the Western Area Rural District just last week, has taken a conflicting twist with three adult women now claiming to be her biological mother.

After being spotted in Funkia last week by a relative who claimed to know she was dead and buried five years back, Kadiatu was escorted to Malokoh village in Lungi where reports say she died and was buried and was reunited with her mother, Emma Kamara.

Two days after the news of her resurrection and discovery in Funkia hit the airwaves, another woman named Musu Kamara of Tombo village in the Western Area Rural District, came out claiming that the dead and awaken girl is her biological daughter and that she gave birth to her in Tombo.

Contrary to the alleged Lungi mother’s story, Musu explained that the actual name of the mystery girl is not Kadiatu but Fatmata fondly called F.A. Musu further explain that FA has never died, but that since birth until five years ago when she disappeared, she has been getting demonic attacks and that sometime when such attacks come, FA will be spiritually drifted away from home for days, weeks and months before returning.

Musu said the final attack on her daughter five years ago got her drifted away and missing until now that she has been spotted at Funkia.

As if that was not enough, in the late hours of Monday 9th July, 2024, another audio surfaced on social media with a third woman named Yeabu Kamara, of Funkia village where the mystery girl was spotted, claiming she is the sister of the biological mother of the mystery girl.

According to the third woman in the audio, the mystery girl’s real name is Kadiatu Kamara. She said Kadiatu’s mother, late now, is her elder sister and that since the mother passed away, she (Yeabu) has been fostering the young girl.

Contrary to explanations by the first alleged two mothers, Yeabu said Kadiatu has never died and that she has been living with her at Funkia since her mother died.

She said Kadiatu is just always in the habit of running away from home as a way of dodging domestic work. She advised people to stop listening to what she referred to as “her dangerous lies of dead and awaken”, while urging her to return home immediately.

However, in an exclusive interview with popular Blogger, Born2Blog, Kadiatu confirmed that she was taken away by an evil spirit, leading to her being presumed dead and buried five years ago in Malokoh village in Lungi.

She said the evil spirit resurrected her after she was buried and drifted her to Funkia where she has been residing under the care of a woman all these years.

Kadiatu said she emerged from the grave and has returned to claim her mother’s secret society, insisting that her family perform a sheep sacrifice to prevent her disappearance again.

Explaining how she met her death five years ago, Kadiatu said she fell from a Tamarind (Tombe) stick while accompanying her aunt to the farm, resulting in her demise. She attributed her survival and return to the influence of the evil spirit.

The community in Malokoh village remains captivated by Kadiatu’s inexplicable return, grappling with the implications of her claims and the extraordinary circumstances surrounding her alleged resurrection.
