Africa Young Voices (AYV)- is an initiative of the Sierra Leone Youth Ambassador (Mr. Anthoney Navo Jnr.) who was appointed in 2008 by the Young Leaders of Sierra Leone Network, an alliance of young executive heads from various youth groups and studient union presidents across the country after a national youth consultative meeting that was held at the British Council Hall in Freetown, Serra Leone. Over the past years, Ambassador Navo has played a significant role in promoting the activities of young people in the country, aware of the fact that, African young people are the most vulnerable groups in our communities serving as victims and perpetrators of human rights abuses. However, Ambassador Navo believes that, young people can make a positive change towards Africa’s development only if they are empowered to empower themselves.
