It can be recalled that President Bio and former President Ernest Bai Koroma met at State House on 12th September, 2019, where they deliberated on diverse national issues including peace, good governance, national cohesion, rule of law, human rights, the economy, and state security.
During that meeting, it came out clearly and it was agreed by both President Bio and former President Koroma that further dialogue and engagements should continue as they build trust and deepen mutual confidence between the government and opposition parties.
The meeting scheduled for today is in fulfillment of the desire by both leaders to promote further dialogue and build mutual trust between both parties. The committee will comprise ten members with five representatives from the All People’s Congress and the Sierra Leone People’s Party.
