British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Josephine Gauld has extended a formal invitation to the Managing Director of Africell Sierra Leone, Shadi Gerjawi to attend the upcoming birthday celebration of King Charles III in the United Kingdom.
During her visit to Africell’s headquarters, Her Excellency Gauld expressed her appreciation for company’s ongoing support of the British High Commission’s initiatives. She further held engagements with Africell’s MD Shadi Gerjawi, Afrimoney CEO Martison Obeng-Agyei and other top management team members.
Managing Director Shadi Gerjawi highlighted Africell’s growth trajectory and market leadership, emphasising the company’s innovative mobile money solutions and commitment to advancing development in Sierra Leone.
Mr. Gerjawi said: “We value partnerships that create meaningful impacts and strengthen bonds”, reaffirming Africell’s dedication to supporting local communities and fostering strong relationships.
In a related initiative on the same day, Africell organised a Diabetes testing event in collaboration with Denk Pharma at their Wilberforce village office, in recognition of World Diabetes Day. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about diabetes, a growing global health concern, while encouraging proactive health management among employees by providing access to free testing and educational resources on diabetes prevention and management.
