In response, President Bio promised the people of Makali that he will ensure a modernised hospital with sophisticated medical equipment is constructed within the shortest possible time.
This promise, was executed with work commencing immediately he left Tonkolili for Freetown, with an effective monitoring team from the ministry of Health and Sanitation.
Finally, the hospital project is completed. The facility has been established with funding from the UK’s Department for International Development (DfID).
The new health centre has been supported as part of their continued support to the health sector in the country and that the facility will contribute to the provision of high quality health service and safe child birth in the country.
