The People’s Revolution (TPR) Movement, a non-governmental organisation, has embarked on a massive developmental projects aimed to leverage suffering in slum communities across Sierra Leone.

Sam Walker, a member of the Movement has provided free medical facilities for children living with Cataracts. He also recently renovated the ‘We are the future – one stop child education center’ at Aberdeen community.

In addition, he renovated the Nursery classroom and provide teaching and learning materials in the community. The renovation includes, the floor, ceiling, walls, and blackboards, and provided solar fan to improve the cooling system for the children and teachers.

Head Teacher of the school, Donald Samdi said: “Mr. Walker has given us freshly painted walls with sparkling colours and well fitted with numeracy and alphabet learning postal. The floor was freshly paved and a brand new floor mats was fitted. The furniture were repaired and freshly painted with child friendly colours. The furniture were repaired and freshly painted”. He said Mr. Walker also provided books, pens and pencils, crayons, rulers, text books, chalks and a bell for the school.

In similar projects, Mr. Walker also renovated a borehole situated at the Cape Community School Aberdeen, also used for consumption by the community residents.

The residents have appealed to Mr. Walker to continue hi good work, especially in the area of health and sanitation among other areas.

Already, he has installed a brand new hand pump for use in the community. This development came after he also provided a borehole water facility, hand pump and promised to fix one of the bad roads in the Rokupa community.

In another development, Mr. Walker extended his gesture to communities in the provinces, where he installed more hand pumps and constructed a bridge to make migration easy for the people.

Speaking to AYV, Mr. Walker said his goodwill gesture aims help the needy and give back to Sierra Leone and its people.
