“Use your creativity to address real-societal challenges” – SLAJ President encourages Limkokwing University students

President of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), Ahmed Sahid Nasralla has encouraged Limkokwing University students to use their creativity to address real-societal challenges.

Speaking to the students at their University exhibition, Nasralla said: “It is a great pleasure to attend Limkokwing University’s end-of-semester exhibition and witnessed the incredible creativity, talent and hardwork displayed by the students. The showcase was a testament to the dedication of both the students and the various faculties in fostering innovation and excellence”.

The projects forming part of the event according to Nasralla, highlighted not only the skills but also the potential of those young minds to contribute meaningfully to Sierra Leone. He encouraged all of the students to keep pushing boundaries and using their creativity to address real-societal challenges.

He concluded saying: “Congratulations to everyone involved in making this exhibition a success, and I look forward to seeing how these ideas evolve into impactful solutions in the future”.

In another development, the SLAJ President joined academic doyen Prof Ekundayo J.D Thompson (former Vice Chancellor and Principal of the University of Sierra Leone) in celebrating his 80th birthday.

He said the revered professor, who has touched many lives, used the occasion to announce his retirement next month.

Nasralla described Prof. Thompson as a distinguished academic and visionary leader whose transformative contributions to higher education in Sierra Leone have left an enduring legacy of excellence and innovation.

He said: “Professor Thompson is a trailblasing academic whose contributions have shaped the landscape of higher education in Sierra Leone”.
