In a significant show of support and generosity for local law enforcement, the Chairman of the Western Area Rural District Council (WARDC), Mr. Kasho J. Holland Cole has donated a KAMA 5kva diesel generator and 100 liters of diesel to the Waterloo Police Division headed by the Local Unit Commander (LUC), Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Joe Kamanda Bongay.

The donation is to reinforce the operational capabilities of the Division at all times in maintaining law and order as well as protecting lives and properties.

At the brief handing over ceremony, Mr. Kasho J. Holland Cole highlighted the notable improvements in the security situation in the Division since the appointment of CSP Joe Kamanda Bongay asserting, “under CSP Joe Kamanda Bongay there has been marked improvements in the security situation in Waterloo and its environs. The donation of the two items is a token of Council’s immense appreciation and support to the Division to ensure that adequate security is assured at all times, especially the availability of electricity.”

Receiving the items, CSP Joe Kamanda Bongay expressed profound thanks and appreciation to Chairman Kasho J. Holland Cole and the WARDC for their generous contributions and support to the Division which he underscored is highly appreciated affirming that the donation would help a long way is supporting and facilitating their work to provide adequate peace and security in the community and its environs and pledged their unflinching support and loyalty to the community in terms of providing watertight security 24-hours in spite of the challenges.

The donation underscores WARDA’s commitment to supporting local institutions as well as enhancing their welfare.

The generator and diesel are expected to significantly aid the Waterloo Police Division to maintain peace and security.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy by Council to provide essential resources and support to various sectors within the District reinforcing their dedication to community development, peace and security.
