What Kamarainba promised Yumkella!

“I promise he will have 10 years as vice president and another 10 years as president after my tenure shall have expired as provided for in the 1991 constitution of Sierra Leone,” he said.

Speaking during the lunch, Dr. Yumkella expressed his admiration for Kamarainba and pointed out that the ADP leader had been very proactive in addressing issues of national interests.

He cautioned against any speculations of his political future but recounted that the lunch, nonetheless, was aimed at them sharing experiences gained over the years in the political arena of the country.

Yumkella said he followed the activities of the ADP presidential candidate very closely and came to the conclusion that they should meet, while acknowledging that politics should not be a chaotic breeding ground. He added that there should always be unity in diversity.

Yumkella stressed that they were fighting to score the same political goal, while revealing that he would be paying visit to other political parties’ Leaders.

On his part, the ADP Chairman said Yumkella has a great potential and passion to see Sierra Leone as a nation and as a people develop.

Kamarainba said there are lots of similarities between himself and Yumkella owing to the fact that they both sacrificed their lucrative jobs to answer the national call, which is to serve Sierra Leone.

He however said the Sierra Leone People’s Party does not value Yumkella whom they should consider an integral component within the political governance structure.

He revealed that after the SLPP Convention if Dr. Yumkella does not secure the flag bearer ticket, he will beg him to join him and effect the change both are seeking.
