Whilst making his statement, Commissioner Ady thanked NaCSA for the instrumental role it played in the procurement of the donated items.
“This is the type of collaboration that we want between the Commission and MDAs”, the Commissioner stated. ” The SSN/GRM (Grievance Redress Mechanism) is one of the most successful projects that are currently being undertaken by any donor organization”, he added.
The Commissioner also expressed delight to work with NaCSA in implementing the SSN/GRM project. He also assured NaCSA that the donated items will not only help in the successful implementation of the SSN/GRM project in particular, but that generally, the items will also give tremendous support towards the success of the fight against corruption. The Commissioner in a final note, expressed gratitude towards the World Bank and UNICEF, the principal donors of the SSN/GRM project.
Speaking at the occasion, the Director of Administration and Human Resource, NaCSA, in his statement noted that earlier donations towards the same goal were made in the form of a generator and some computers to ACC. He symbolically handed over the keys to the Commissioner after an earlier inspection of the items by the Director of Administration and Human Resource of ACC as well as the Transport Officer of the Commission.
