The state alleged that the accused person, Rashid Momoh committed the said offences at the Sierra Fishing Company at Kissy Dockyard, in the east of Freetown.
He is said to have forged certain documents to wit, one complimentary card bearing the name of the Minister of Youth Affairs, Mohamed Orman Bangura, purported to have been prepared and signed by the said Youth Affairs Minister, on Tuesday 10 July 201, knowing same to be false.
The charge sheet further revealed that the accused person took the said forged complimentary card to the Marketing Manager of Sierra Fishing Company, Madam Fadi Mohamed, where he stated that he was sent by the Youth Affairs Minister, Mohamed Orman Bangura to collect some quantity of fish and money on his behalf, knowing same to be false.
The accused person, Rashid Momoh is also charged with the offence of Uttering Forged Document, contrary to Section (6) (1), sub Section (2) of the Forgery Act of 1913,
The accused person, Rashid Momoh had no legal representation.
Magistrate Santigie Bangura adjourned the matter to today Monday 13 August 2018 for further hearing.
