Sierra Leone, yesterday 25th February, 2021 got its first share of Two Hundred Thousand of Synopharm Vaccine donated by the Government of the People’s Republic of China to Sierra Leone.

This first set of Vaccine according to Spokesperson of the National Covid-19 Emergency Response Center (NaCOVERC), Solomon Jamiru, will prioritise vulnerable people like the aged and essential frontline workers who can easily succumb to the Virus.

However, the Government of China has also committed to send more support to Sierra Leone to help in the fight against the deadly Virus.

In another development, Sierra Leone will soon be receiving another set of 620,000 COVAX Vaccines set to be landed in the country in 2 weeks by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
