The Ministry of Information and Civic Education has met with various media and government information officers from various ministries, departments and agencies.
The focus was to better comprehend institutional challenges and to discuss possible areas of growth and development. In attendance were the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah and his Deputy Minister, Yusuf Keketoma Sandy.
The Minister welcomed the numerous attendees and urged that the thrust is about projecting correct information about government’s development plans. He said that rightful agenda setting is a prerequisite in strategic communications and therefore urged the government press officers to continue to leave up to expectations.
Information Officers present appreciated the Ministry’s gesture and discussed some of the challenges affecting execution in their respective institutions.
The Minister called for dialogue and appreciable communication in making sure that policies of government are cascaded to all and sundry.
