Popular entertainment Executive, Abu Bakar Turay aka The Kabaka has posted on his Facebook page that he will be making a ‘Big Announcement’ today Friday. 

This statement by no less a person than one of Sierra Leone’s biggest entertainment moguls has left  tongues wagging as members of the public and the country’s entertainment industry  are on tenterhooks about this big announcement.

Whilst details of the imminent announcement are   not clear, the possibility of Kabaka getting married is entirely off the table as we know our legal luminary and entertainment executive is happily married to former beauty queen, model and entrepreneur, Hawa Kamara popularly known as ‘Hawawa’.

Speculations are however rife that Kabaka might be announcing the return of Sierra Leone’s biggest and most prominent annual entertainment event, ECOFEST. As it stands, music fans will be waiting with bated breath in anticipation of the good news. ECOFEST has undoubtedly over the years been Sierra Leone’s biggest showpiece – attracting major international and local music acts in the sub-region, and beyond. The event has equally proven to be a major platform showcasing the country’s rich musical heritage.
