On his way back home from the inaugural Africa Urban Forum (AUF) held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Dr. Turad Senesie was approached at the airport by a random group of SLPP stakeholders, who had also travelled back home from America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

During the informal gathering, they expressed curiosity over certain governance actions and SLPP intra-party activities.

Dr. Turad Senesie wasted no time to encourage all present including some workers at the Freetown International Airport to continue supporting the President Dr. Julius Maada Bio in the implementation of the New Direction Agenda.

The Minister further admonished all to strengthen their faith in the SLPP, while reassuring them that the SLPP is a people’s centered party that cares for the wellbeing of the people of Sierra Leone.

When asked about the perceived ‘leadership struggle’ within the SLPP, Dr. Turad Senesie simply answered thus “When the time comes, he who is humble, respectful to elders and recognizes the efforts of those who build the Kingdom shall inherit the Throne. He that is arrogant and has no value for experience and age shall vanish in the air and never see the light of the Kingdom”.

Asked by one Mr. Bangura to elucidate more on the meaning of the parable, Dr. Senesie again replied as he proceeds to his vehicle by saying: “SLPP is a traditional party built on sacred values” and re-echoed the same statement: “When the time comes, he who is humble, respectful to elders and recognizes the efforts of those who build the Kingdom shall inherit the Throne. He that is arrogant and has no value for experience and age shall vanish in the air and never see the light of the Kingdom”.

It could be recalled that Dr. Senesie returned home on Sunday from the Africa Urban Forum where he made a solid case on behalf of the President, Julius Maada Bio and the people of Sierra Leone.
