Registration process taxing

A registrant, Vincent Harding referred to the registration process as too long with many unnecessary questions being asked that had resulted to the unnecessary delayed.

“This registration process is tough, it hard and for me I have been here since 1:30 am, I have not been able to register up till now and it is  5:20 pm already, the process is  too painful and we have not been sleeping at home just for us to register” said Vincent Harding.

A community elder at Kamayama Lumley, Joseph Musa mentioned that they want every Sierra Leoneans to register and that most people have been doubted , as he stated that  if  a registrants provided a driver’s licenses he/she  must be registered , as that happened to be an identification to prove their citizenship.

Joseph Musa furthered that even the chiefs and imams have all been asked to identify themselves by providing passport or national identity, and pointed that it was wrong to have done that.

A chief at the Kaningo Community Lumley stated that he was at the registration centre to help identifying people that had no form of identification, and reiterated that they as community head were there to ensure every community member were registered.
