A cross-section of staff made statements about the challenges facing the company and how they managed to overcome some of them although a few more problems still plague the company.

The MD in response said he would try his best to turn the challenging situation around. He used the opportunity to thank President Bio for the confidence reposed in him to appoint him Managing Director of Sierra Leone National Shipping Company (SLNSC). He admonished the staff to be ready to work hard to bring about the necessary change. He encouraged them to concentrate on the work at hand, and warned that politics are now over and therefore everyone should concentrate on their respective jobs in order to support the New Direction of the president. He promised to work towards increasing revenue generation to assist the government in its development drive.
