Businesses, institutions or organisations thrive when employees are motivated, engaged, and dedicated to their roles.
One of the most effective ways to nurture this is by recognizing and rewarding staff for exceptional work; and this is what Wusum Hotel- a business in hospitality branded itself as Jewelry of Tourism has demonstrated during its annual dinner and awards’ ceremony.
The management of Wusum Hotel did not only honour and celebrate dedicated and committed staff, but also partners who have been part of the success story of this establishment.
Welcoming invited guests, Saudatu Timbo – Human Resource Manager said, proper acknowledgment not only boosts morale but also fosters a culture of excellence and loyalty; and this is the exact motive of the annual award event.
Cyril Roy Macauley, General Manager emphasized that, awarding staff for exceptional work is not just a nice gesture—it’s a strategic investment in the business’s success.
He went on to say that, creating a culture of recognition, Wusum Hotel can unlock its full potential, driving innovation, commitment, and long-term growth.
Cyril therefore admonished recipients of awards to continue the good work and entreats those who didn’t receive to double up their effort so that they too will be recognised and awarded in subsequent events.
Board Chairperson of Wusum Hotel, Mohamed Kanu congratulated staff and management for their foresight in rebranding the business. He promised to support them fully so that Wusum Hotel will continue to be the Jewelry of Tourism in Sierra Leone and beyond.
