Dr. Faramarzi said the Holy Quran is unique because of its sanctimonious character as it is the same everywhere across the world and that it is difficult to interpolate because of its universality and unique identity. He called on Muslims worldwide to know their religion as a way of knowing Allah.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of the Institute Mr. Alieu Badara Sesay reiterates that the Holy Quran is mysterious as many people around the world have memorized it without having the slightest understanding of the Arabic language.

Mr. Sesay disclosed that the competition is open to the general public and the competition will have three categories, Memorization of the Whole Quran (30 juzu), Half of the Quran (15 Juzu) and the last ten Suras for Children. The Second Category will be recitation of any part of the Quran with the strict tartil and tajweed and the third category will be translation of the Holy Quran in Krio of some verses of the Holy Quran.

Mr. Sesay said that entries for the competition is open to the general public at the Iranian Cultural Consulate at 25 Garrison Street and closing date will be on the 24th May and the Competition will take place on the 26th and 27th of May 2018 at the Main Hall of the Consulate.
