At about midday on Saturday 13th August, 2022, personnel from Goderich Police Division stationed at the Tokeh checkpoint arrested three persons onboard a private vehicle with registration number AOW 453 with seventeen rounds of ammunition (pistol).

This was according to a Situation Report (SITREP) for Saturday 13th August 2022, sent to the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police from the Local Unit Commander (LUC) at the Goderich Police Division, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abu Bakarr Kallon.

The three suspects, were identified as Tejan Kondoh, Unisa Kamara, Lamin Sesay, are currently in police custody helping in their investigations.

Unisa Kamara and Lamin Sesay claimed to have been deported from the United States of America ten months back and presently resident at Kallon Drive Regent Road Lumley and Tejan Kondeh of Regent Road Pentagon.

The police report further assured that the residential parts of the division remains quiet for the past twenty four hours.

However, the LUC recommended that close attention be paid to the entry point of the Division from Tombo village axis through the Peninsula and that more armed personnel from the Operational Support Division and RSLAF be deployed at the entry point to my division from John Obey in order to conduct massive manhunt searches for these insurrectionist trying to come from Tombo axis through the Peninsula with their arms and ammunition for their terrorist intentions.

In addition, the LUC advised that at least one strong and more effectively functional patrol vehicle be urgently provided for the division to make patrols more Robust within the Goderich Division which is now a Class A Division; that the Police/Military Maritime wings to provide close surveillance along wharfs on the coastlines; and that all strategic checkpoints mounted within the division continue to be monitored strictly.
