Testifying in court, the first prosecution witness, Issa Sesay intimated the court that he is Detective Police Constable attached to the Criminal Investigation Department headquarter on Pademba Road in Freetown.

He said he recognized the persons in the dock and also remembered the incident of 27th February, 2017.

The witness further informed the court that on the said date, he was on duty at the CID headquarter, when a case of conspiracy to commit a felony, store break-in and larceny was reported against the accused persons.

According to Issa Sesay, he later obtained statements from the accused persons in respect of the allegation leveled against them separately and on different dates, before preferring charges against the accused persons.
