The letter reads: “I hereby come with the privilege of  sending you this letter in order to clarify any misunderstanding that may occur as far as the organization of AAC’s organization Region West Juniors championships are concerned.
“In fact, Momar Mbaye and you have met and both of you have agreed for the organization of the West Region’s Juniors athletics championships in Sierra Leone to host the tournament in Sierra Leone.
The letter however states that they  never confirmed Sierra Leone as host in order to have the region takes all necessary actions toward athletics association and AAC.
“Because of the official notification has been late to be confirmed and due to the fact that the region was eager to have this championship organized, we have asked to all athletics associations to make a proposition”.
Finally, the Gambia proposition has been selected. All information and related documents have been sent to all associations along with the invitation from the Gambian Athletics Association.
Right now everything is ready for the organization of these championships in Banjul.
The letter went further to state that the body could count on SLAA understanding and cooperation in order to accept the choice.
“The region will be considering any request from your association in order to organize an athletics event in our region, the letter concludes.
