He made this absolute undertaking during the hearing on the matter between the plaintiff Ambassador Ali Bangura, and the defendants, Chief Sumanoh Kapen, together with other executive members of the Sierra Leone People’s Party.

It could be recalled that Ambassador Ali Bangura brought a court action against certain members of the SLPP, regarding the conduct of the executive elections held in Bo Town, in 2013.

At its initial stage, Ambassador Bangura who filed that the court rule the election null and void, later sought that the court mandate for a fresh election to be conducted. It was during the court hearing on the matter that the SLPP expelled the plaintiff, Ambassador Ali Bangura, which has now led the plaintiff to file a supplementing injunction.

During his presentation in the Supreme Court, the lead Counsel, Osman Jalloh, called on the court to grant the injunction, which his client seeks, adding that there should be no delay on the matter.

He explained that the reason for his call for an urgent passing of the injunction is based on points which he summarized in court including: the pattern of victimization of persons supportive of the plaintiff and the victimization of plaintiff for bringing the matter to court.

However, Lawyer, Dr. Bu Buakai Jabbie, who is representing the defendants in the matter, did not respond in court, but rather, asked for an adjournment of the matter to Thursday June 18, 2015
