Madam Afsatu Kabba was appointed as High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 20th July, 2015.

While bidding farewell to the High Commissioner, President Koroma encouraged her to add value to the existing bilateral and historical ties between the two countries. He called on Mrs. Kabba to be mindful of her responsibility in representing Sierra Leone in the most populous country in Africa.

The president also urged the High Commissioner to come up with new approaches in enhancing economic benefits as well as promote mutual south-south cooperation.

He acknowledged the capacity of Mrs. Kabba to perform very well especially under difficult circumstances, while assuring her of government’s continued support.

Mrs. Kabba said that since she was appointed on July 20, 2015, she had been sufficiently briefed on the required protocols, foreign policies, bilateral relations and administrative procedures.

She promised to work relentlessly in representing Sierra Leone and her commitment to implement and maintain government policies.
