Congo Valley children get support

The donated items included school bags, mathematical sets, pens, pencils and rulers. The harmonic Youth organisation also gave one year scholarship to five children for their proficiency in school. The child who scored the highest in NPSE for that area was also awarded in order to motivate her and other children to work harder.
The donation ceremony was graced by Mr Mohamed Bangura Cooperate Affairs Manager N.R.A, Magistrate Evelyn Koroma, Mr Joseph Koroma Head of Science department Albert Academy, Mr Aruna Gbassay Kamara President T.B.S and Chief Ya Alimamy Kanu.
Both print and electronic media representatives and also youth groups and organisations were present.

The chairman of the organisation said that the community has been isolated for decades by politicians, local and international organisation. He also said that this was a way to draw attention to their existence and motivate children to focus in school.

The children were in their uniform as they received their awards and members of the community expressed their gratitude and thanked the harmonic youth organisation for their thoughtful gesture.
