Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella who doubles as the Presidential Candidate of the NGC was petitioned on the grounds that he has dual nationality following his nomination as a parliamentary aspirant for Constituency 062 in the Kambia District.

According to the National Electoral Commission Officer in Kamabia, Umar Fomba, Abu Bakarr Sankoh failed to provide the Commission with evidence to back his claim. The petition was looked into in the absence of  Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella, but was represented by his party’s district executive in Kambia.
